The everchanging landscape of social networking continues to leave me beside myself. I was recently driving alon the highway, and an app sent me an alert of a coupon for a place that I was passing. While the iPhone allows you the option, I elected to?”Allow Location”.
Combining this with Yelp and Google would make for a very interesting but next level marketing capabilities. While I think Google is on it’s way to world dominatin, one website at a time, it would be a step in the right direction if one thing alone would happen, google maps integrate Yelp Reviews. Yelp recently launched the monocle component which allows the user of the iPhone to search around them by holding the phone up and see reviews of locations within the phones screen. The power of Google, the power of the Yelp community, seems like it would be an interesting but promising win.
Anyone else believe someone else will try to outbid for Yelp?
