With my Netfix, I reduced mine to 1 at a time, probably because I don’t have an App for managing my NetFlix, or I would remember to add New Releases when I see previews. Though I don’t watch too much TV, other then DVR.

Will Blockbuster follow NetFlix? Will RedBox increase sales, or be impacted? More to come, as always.

The clarity of calls, and coverage of voice is superior on Verizon, but where I live, the data works.

FCC Critical of Verizon’s $350 Early Termination Fee (Mashable)

The carrier that provides “a map for that” recently increased it’s ETF to $350 due to the cost of the devices and advertising of them. Any correlation of the ETF to advertising fees is insane. AT&T has brunted the iPhone cost for years, and did not implement such a high ETF. Will AT&T follow next? With AT&T not providing insurance on the iPhone, the ETF cost would creep up to the cost of replacing the device, ?either way, quite a hefty charge.

“She finds Verizon?s claims of justification ?unsatisfying? and a ?tenuous rationale for ETFs.? She especially takes issue with the fact that ETF prices are higher in part to cover advertising and store costs. We couldn?t agree with her more.

Clyburn also addresses another troubling matter, calling Verizon out for deceptively charging small fees to customers who launch the mobile browser.” Luckily I have not experienced any small fees from AT&T, ?my bill remains the same, month to month. Kudos to the FCC for scrutinizing Verizon early on.

I switched to AT&T in June, had a prorated ETF to pay after 10 years with Verizon. While the voice coverage (and customer service) at AT&T is not stellar, the phone has trumped what I had before with my EnV. I have not encountered one location where the phone did not work, even while bouncing around Europe.
